It is an independent office under the Ministry of Finance and Planning, which is mandated to review and address complaints by a taxpayer regarding service, procedural or administrative matters arising in the course of administering tax laws by the Tanzania Revenue Authority, Commissioner General or Staff of Tanzania Revenue Authority.
