Mr. David E. Alal is a Certified Public Accountant [CPA(T)] accredited by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors Tanzania (NBAA), he also holds Masters of Business Administration in Finance (MBA-Finance) and a Bachelor in Commerce (B.COM -Accounting) from University of Dar es salaam.

Mr. Alal initially graduated in 2002, and on the same year was employed as a Branch Accountant by Tanga Fresh Company limited and became among the founders of Tanga Fresh - Dar es Salaam Depot.

His journey in Public Sector started in July, 2004 after being employed as Internal Auditor by the then Prime Minister’s Office Regional Administrative and Local Government Authorities where he served Same District Council (2004-2012) and Rombo District Council (2012-2014).

From November, 2014 up to June 2020 served the Ministry of Agriculture as a Principal Internal Auditor before being transferred to Ministry of Finance and Planning. In July 2020 to 31 January, 2023, he served as a Principal Internal Auditor at the Ministry of Finance and Planning.

With effective from 1st February, 2023 Mr. Alal was transfered to Tax Ombudsman Service Office Tanzania (TOST) to be Head of Internal Audit Unit, the office which he is still serving to-date.

Mr. Alal has vast of experiences at Managerial level having served as Board Member and a Chairman of Audit and Risk Committee of Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) from May 2016 to May 2019, Head of Internal Audit Unit at both Same and Rombo District Councils at different times from 2004 to 2014 and currently he is serving as a member of Audit Committee of Fire and Rescue Force Tanzania.

Mr. Alal is a committed, proactive and resourceful person endowed with good knowledge in Auditing, Accounting and Corporate Governance. His enthusiasm for persons and their development has been nurtured and developed through the various interactions, trainings he attended and working experiences with a rich culture of people from diverse background. He is also able to prioritize his workload; able to work under minimal supervision, have self initiative and have ability to work as part of a team. He is ready to provide professional skills to the society for nation building and he is reliable and trustworthy.
